State of the Union: 14 shot in Chicago Over the Weekend

Image result for rahm is zorro

So, La-La Land is runner up.

Gee.

CVS is closing 11 stores in poor black neighborhoods. The Sun Times will not mention this.

Parkway Gardens is still O Block. However, Angela Caputo will never connect the dots back *to Habitat, HUD, Allison Davis and Valerie Jarrett.

14 Chicagoans were killed since last Friday.

City of Chicago employees have had their pensions looted by elected officials from RMD (Richie of Mass Destruction) to RIE (Rahm Ignores Everything)

I am a City of Chicago employee. I am not the enemy, I am not the problem. You, the Government, have been raiding my pension fund whenever you need money. You, the Government, mismanaged your money. I also pay into my retirement every paycheck. I follow the rules you set up and we agreed to. Now you want to blame me for our State's/City's money woes and steal from my retirement benefits? If you are a public employee/retiree please copy and paste as your status. Facebook:

And President Trump had absolutely nothing to do with any of the above.

Still, Chicago's two papers remain thick with Trump Toxicology teases.  Even the epic-ly empty Michael Sneed is offering rhetoric lessons to President 45 and Rahm Emanuel, who stood with the owners of Parkway Gardens in 2013, the privatized real estate development of a former HUD housing project, a pet Valerie Jarrett project,** remains bullet proof in both papers.

The State of the Union will be whoopee cushion for the media.

Chicago will keep on keepin' on.

Wonder what March will bring?

Now, who lives in La-La Land?

Stapesless Politicians Killed Policing - Chicago is Thug Comfort Zone

Image result for Chicago Cop taking abuse

"But down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid." Raymond Chandler
"The three smallest bones in your body are all found inside your ear, and you would be completely deaf without them.  Known formally as the malleus, incus and stapes (and informally as the hammer, anvil and stirrup, after their approximate shapes), Natural News

Our problems are First World Problems - "My God! Tom Skilling said we can expect up to ten inches of Snow!  Trump is President!  There's Fake News!  The Cop Thinks I Ran that Red Light - I Know It was Green!"

It is my belief that the only people who should be allowed a beef are First Responders, the only people dedicated to making America remain First World.

I watched a cop get a dressing down from a motorist on Western Ave. at about 110th Street, around 11 A.M., yesterday.   I was walking home from Mr. Swifty Dry Cleaners and could hear the woman who looked and sounded like that smug 'sixty-something' in the AARP commercials. The officer was African American and about thirty years of age and wrote the violation with appreciative good humor.  The woman argued that she had 'not run through the red light' at 109th Street just past County Fair FoodsImage result for Big Plans - snooty AARP commercial "Big Plans!"

I nodded to the officer in full appreciation for his 'troubles.'

The officer was not chasing a thug, or wondering whether or not he should draw his service weapon and go home at the end of the shift; he was taking lip from a well-heeled harpy with that goofy bumpy sticker that only really nasty-tempered and intolerant people seem to slap on the rump of their roadsters - COEXIST
Image result for coexist bumper sticker

I went on my way. I don't have any bumper stickers.  I wear my heart on mu sleeve - it is more than just a handkerchief, you know.

I wondered if this harridan had a Blue Ribbon and Blue Light on here porch.  That would really seal the deal.

The cop would go to his next urban adventure.  Ms. AARP would tell everyone at her Book Club about her battle with fascism.  Maybe she gave Ja'mal Green a jingle about a get together.

The cop might be taking rounds on Vincennces at 103rd,  Percy Julian has had more than few stray lead peltings these past few years.

Chicago is a Thug Comfort Zone,  I have been writing those three words since here on Google since 2006.

ChiRaq, Beruit on the Lake, Kosavo on Kostner, it is all the same; not because of Police Officers, or systemic racism, or a Code of Silence, or Commander Burge, but because of mayors and politicians from Jane Byrne, Harold Washington, Gene Sawyer and Richie Daley right up to and including Rahm Emanuel.

Each mayor wanted crime to go away and homicides to disappear, but doing so allowed the Marxists Lawyers and the well-funded university Centers for Law, Journalism, Truth, Wrongful Justice and Revolution kick up public relations, headlines, editorial series, class-action lawsuits, hefty Lefty contributions, controlled narratives and mythologies, while mayors went to ground under Massive Instant Payout Settlements, Blue Ribbon Panels, Task Forces, Musling Officer Testimony, Judge  Shopping, Conversations about Race, Community Policing, Floral traffic medians and access to the fifth floor for Sneed, Marin, Brown, Steinberg, Goudy and Shaw.

The Marxists co-opted philanthropy and the Politicians co-opted Media Faces, all the while allowing police officers and policing to twist in the wind, dry up and blow away.

The Marxists of the People Law Office, Loevy & Loevy, et. al. are going to ambulance chase, agitate, smear and whine.

Government should be something less than boneless, in the face of such assaults. It is not.

Richard M. Daley was shameful.  Rahm is disgraceful.  They have lacked tiniest element of bone mass.  The three smallest bones of the human body are found in the ear - the stapes, being the smallest of the hammer, anvil and stirrup.

Rather than allow themselves to be grouped with police officers involved in the sworn duties as patrolmen and detectives, Daley and Emanuel have crushed individuals and policing itself under the brass wheels of City Hall bus.

The officer taking abuse from Ms. COEXIST near Mr. Swifty's yesterday feels the wheels.

Global Daley - Quo Vadis, Richie?

                                         BRIDGING THE CULTURAL GAP

Small minds are concerned with the extraordinary, great minds with the ordinary. Blaise Pascal
DaleyTang can help you create a strategic advantage by unlocking the common barriers to success so your business thrives in international markets.

Tur works with businesses, municipalities and government agencies throughout North America to develop strategies for competing and thriving in the global economy.  Tur supports its partners in a variety of strategic roles, including: . . .
Anyone in the third generation waiting in the wings to carry on the family franchise? Some thought that Rich Daley’s son, Patrick, with his military and business background, was the guy. In the meantime, that franchise has morphed from politics to business—business that benefits from Rich’s mayoral connections. With his father and his father’s former mayoral chief of staff, Patrick helps to run TUR Partners, which bills itself as a “global investment and advisory firm” with “dedicated practices” in the US, China and Russia. Doing business in the latter two countries may not be the best preparation for running a successful campaign for political office. Chicago Magazine

The Clinton Foundation is one of many hedge fund vaults, where mega-charities, corporations and plutocrats can suck up the wealth of the world and keep world watch cable news.

It is one vault.

The Clinton's owe quite a bit to Chicago and the Daley Family.

Post - mayoral Richie Daley is as visible as the Lucas Museum these days,

He is busy.

Not only is Richard M. Daley a 'perfesser' at University of Chicago's Harris Schoolof Business, but also a Master of the Universe 'stacker of wheat and player with railroads' and Chinese and Russian opportunities.

Such opportunities are denied to most Meteors from the great school over by IIT and big cop house, but they are wide open to Global Visionaries.

You see, Chicago and the United States of America have become Banana Republics - oligarchies. Under the globalist method wealth makes a few people very wealthy, erases the middle class and increases the number of poor people.

I think ordinary.  I wondered about this headline teaser in the Wall Street Journal, " Why did Hillary’s State Department urge U.S. investors to fund Russian research for military uses?"

Why, I wonder if Bridgeport-born globalist Richard M. Daley urgently invested the investments of TUR and Daley Tang partners in the land of Borscht and money.

When I read the Wall Street Journal article this morning, I did not immediately think of Hillary Rodham Clinton.   I thought of Richard M. Daley.  He is a globalist visionary.  In fact, this past June, one Daley's global businesses Tang Partners bought IM Global. IM Global is huge and Daley's partner Donald Tang is huge.

Donald Tang was previously chairman and CEO of Bear Stearns Asia. Following that he was founder of Daley & Tang Partners, a venture formed with former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley to facilitate cross-border transactions. TMP recently appointed veteran Chinese-American director and producer Janet Yang (executive producer on “The Joy Luck Club,” producer of “The People Vs Larry Flynt”) to a senior executive role.
The relationship with TMP is expected to provide IM Global the capacity to raise substantial further capital that will lift it beyond the ranks of leading film industry independents and site it among the league of corporate independents that includes Lionsgate, Entertainment One and Studiocanal. ( emphasis my own)

That's Hollywood Folks!  You won't see Matt Damon nailing a plateful of hash browns at Schallers Pump, but you can bet he's welcome!

Brideport was home to Lithuanian, German, Polish, Mexican, Croatian and Irish and now more Chinese.  Daley has set up opportunities for globalists, who might not live in Chinatown, or Bridgport to invest in Red China and Russia.  Russia is huge to the Daley interests.  In fact as there is Daley Tang, so too Daley TUR.

I wonder.  Will Wikileaks reveal sharp as tacks Bridgeport global ventures?

That would be extraordinary.  But,  what does that mean to an ordinary guy?

Leo Man Frank Considine '39 - Chicago's Greatest Business Leader Fought for Meigs Field

Frank and Nancy Considine  " One of the best liked "fellows" in Leo" The Oriole 1939
Richie Daley's Progressive vandalism

Frank W. Considine is a Leo Man*.  Frank played on the 1937 football team that attracted more than 125,000 fans to Soldier Field.  He was a tackle.  His grades at Leo are impressive, especially when one considers that the Irish Christian Brothers who staffed Leo in its infancy were outstanding scholars and exacting teachers. Frank played for the great Whitey Cronin ( F. Considine front row l.) on the football squad that played before the largest crowd to a attend an America football game( Pro, College, Semi-pro, high school) in history. Leo was trounced by Austin High School 26-0.

Frank Considine learned team in football, but it was the extra-curricular work he performed as a Caddie at South Shore Country Club, where Mr. Considine's business acumen was honed.  He learned the value of human association - contacts, "I Know A Guy!"  More business is conducted on the links than in the board rooms of American commerce, than any meeting conducted with a stenographer present - today it would be a recorded disc, chip or some other techno gizmo. Back then it was a man's word, followed up with deeds.

Frank Considine was already formed by the Leo Testament - Facta Non Verba: Deeds not Words. He was ahead of the game and learned to walk away from the guys whose honeyed words could never match future deeds.

After taking his degree at Loyola of Chicago, Frank Considine went to war as a Navy officer aboard a WWII destroyer.  The deeds, like so many combat veterans, were enough.

You can link on to a Loyola University tribute to Frank Considine that chronicles his brilliant career in business from glass to aluminum.  Considine was genius at bringing the American canning industry to businesses overlooked by his less astute predecessors.  So great was Considine's influence in American Commerce, that President Jimmy Carter tapped Frank Considine to lead the Egypt-US Business Council.  Frank Considine helped Anwar Sadat westernize Egypt's economy after the death of Soviet-allied Nasser. In fact two other Leo Men joined Considine in those efforts.

If you take a look at the Forbes biography that I have pasted below, you will note the many boards, religious, charitable and civic, chaired by Frank W. Considine. That is impressive. However one incident in Chicago history most defines Frank W. Considine and that was his clash with Richard M. Daley over the closing of Meigs Field.

Daley's Progressive Alliance demanded Chicago go Green, as well as undermine cops, take down the projects for the sake of Valerie Jarret, Allison Davis and the hogs at the trough and turn its back on the breeders in the neighborhoods.

Green Space is easy - vandalize a municipal resource ( Meigs Field) used by affluent people and say it will be a Peoples Park -Northerly Island. . In the process, put the Chicago business community that this in no longer Richard J. Daley's Chicago.  Daley started to agitate for the close of Meigs in 1994, while Frank Considine who negotiated the McCormick Expansion sought another compromise with Daley. Progressives never compromise, it's a John Dewey thing concerned with 'outcomes.'

In 2003, on a bright March morning, pilots flying into Meigs Field with dollars were diverted.  There were huge Xs torn into the concrete by back hoes operated by at least two Leo HS graduates and members of IUOE Local 150.  No kidding.

Meigs Field was no more. Frank Considine was outraged.  He is Leo Man, but one tempered by Catholic charity and business grace,.  Frank Considine was gracefully outraged over this malicious vandalism. Frank Considine knew that Chicago's economy would never recover from this act of radical socialism and juvenile hubris.  He acted with a team.  His was the first voice condemning Daley for this idiocy.  He did so without my colorful bile, mind you.

The Civic Committee's action came in the form of a mid-July letter to Mayor Daley by Frank Considine, chairman of the group's Airport Task Force. A copy of the letter was obtained by CRAIN'S from outside sources.
Initially, the committee had intended to remain neutral on the Meigs plan, Mr. Considine wrote. "However, many of our members are concerned that the closing of the airfield, which is a valuable amenity for Chicago, will have a negative impact on Chicago's overall commercial attractiveness."
The letter goes on to argue that Meigs serves 150,000 business travelers a year, many of them headed for conventions at McCormick Place. "Keeping Meigs open will send an important message that you are committed to maintaining Chicago's downtown business vitality and accessibility," it concludes.
Here is what I find fascinating - Daley had already 'become' a Progressive and the green space vision was only a feint; the real thumb in the eye was a provocative Screw You to the powerful businessmen and nothing more.  It is interesting to note that Daley's SDS WeatherGirl and PR Maven Marilyn Katz and the career grifter and public money mooch CTA President Forrest Claypool took the lead in this effort:

Katz - Marilyn Katz, a media consultant who is spearheading the city's public relations campaign for the park plan, said she's in the process of contacting hundreds of civic groups-and argued that such an effort is both needed and proper.
Lost patronage
Most Chicagoans don't know that Meigs has lost 40% of its patronage in the last 15 years, and is shut down all or part of 100 days a year, she said.
"The administration didn't wage a public relations war (before), so nobody knows anything," Ms. Katz said. "I don't think they understood how the governor was going to use this issue," she said, charging that many letters from CEOs were prompted by Mr. Edgar

Claypool - "We thank them for their concern, but there are two conflicting visions, and there can be no compromise on a park," said Chicago Park District Supt. Forrest Claypool, whom Daley designated to speak to reporters.
Claypool bristled when asked why the administration was adamant about ruling out any compromise, even one that could involve softening of positions on a new Bears stadium."This is fatally flawed. The mayor isn't interested in trading chips to support a state tax-subsidized stadium for the Chicago Bears," said Claypool, whose agency now manages Soldier Field.

Daley would never trade chips?  Really Forrest?  The oily Claypool is still on the public tit.

Marilyn Katz and Forrest Claypool did more to damage Chicago business than any Guy Fawkes Mask wearing anarchist ever dreamed of doing by lighting tire fires.  Rahm, Daley, Claypool and Katz are all part of Progressive pack of jackals that sold off Chicago's assets, destroyed its neighborhoods, gelded a once proud and independent news media and continue to reap millions of dollars while Roseland, Englewood, Austin and Gresham reap the whirlwind.

Frank Considine tried to keep Meigs open.  The Meigs vandalism took place in the shadow of Soldier Field, where Bill De Correvont  and Austin HS rolled over Leo in November 1937.  Considine fought Daley and legions of Mammon the Progressive.  Like Leo against Austin the score told some of the story.

Frank Considine has pumped millions of dollars in support of Leo High School - he funded the Frank and Nancy Considine Caddie Scholars Program, funded a computer based algebra program that was state of the art in 1998, and tuition assistance that has graduated hundreds of African American kids from Leo, who went on to great college and vocational careers.

Frank Considine, kept Chicago's Civic Opera running out of his own pocket.

Frank Considine helped found the Big Shoulders Fund

Frank Considine fought to keep Meigs Field in operation

Frank Considine learned to walk away from the honeyed words of grifters who never intended to match their words with deeds.

God Bless Chicago's Greatest Businessman.  Image result for Frank Considine and Meigs Field

God will take care of the grifters and so will Chicago voters very soon.

Vote - Not For Rahm, but Vote! It is a Thing of Beautry!

This is a painting by Abstract Expressionist painter Joan Mitchell ( 1926-1992).  Joan Mitchell was the age of my parents and like them emerged from the crucible that is the 20th Century.  Her work above is called City Landscape.

I see it in much the same manner,  as when I look north from the roof of Leo High School and a pretty cool view it is -gliding the eyes over Hamilton and Ogden Parks and catching the slice of Englewood wedged between Wentworth and Vincennes Avenues ignoring, as Chicago does, the stockyard neighborhoods and sighting the twin pagodas of Chinatown to scope in the glass and steel of Rahm Oz.

Art can give one perspective beyond the gallery or coffee table. I don't have two nickels to rub together; therefore I use everything.

Take time and vote tomorrow.  I expect a low turn-out and the news media has done its level best to unsure that fact.  They want every person to believe that elections, like David Axelrod and Hillary Clinton, are inevitable.

I caught Comb Over Dave after Mass yesterday on CBS and I remembered him as the scruffy hippie tag-along reporter of Richie Daley in exile.  Dave smelled a gold mine and struck it rich with Richie.  He used the very same drop poison breadcrumbs techniques* that made a Believer out of him and took credit from the real political architects who made not only Richie Daley, but also Barack Obama.

Richie drank the Progressive Soup offered to him by Esau Axelrod.  Daley needed Progressive cache and Axlerod gave Richie the Mikva Challengers and the gold that goes with them - PR maven Marilyn Katz, the Universities of Chicago and Northwestern, Peoples Law Office, Miner/Davis Real Estate and the editorial boards of both papers.

Rahm Emanuel was appointed to the Richie Daley Campaign for States Attorney by the Daley bundlers of Stepan Chemical.  He too served early and often.

Daley was no longer the leader of Wards Organizations** in exile, he was Mao on the long march, because of David Axelrod.

That said.  We have had enough of the chains forged in Hyde Park.  Let's have a Selma moment tomorrow and break them chains.  Vote so Rahm does not get one vote over 50%. It would be a 'thing of beautry,' as former Mayor Daley might say, when you really get down and scrutin everything. Of couse one should have someone from University of Chicago to parse the context for you.

The City Landscape deserves a good dusting off.

* Axelrod is a nasty piece of work - always ahas been.  Here he was setting up Bernie Carey, for Richie.

** Daley signalled the world that he had turned his back on neighborhoods forever, when he abandoned life-long friend Alderman Patrick Huels.  The old ethnic Catholic neighborhood types would become fodder for investigative -nitwits like Andy Shaw, Carol Marin, Chuck Goudie and others -anyone who helped Daley rise and was from the Old Wards was now a Dave Axelrod Poison Breadcrumb.  Richie was and shall remain off limits to scrutiny.
